Kaitlyn's update as of 27 Sep 2011
Dear all,
I visited Kaitlyn last Sunday & I am happy to announce some good news:
1. Kaitlyn has stopped her diarrhoea. Apparently her diarrhoea costs her $8,000++ to which another friend of Dewi helped to pay several hundred & we helped to pay $2,000. This left the remaining bill around $5,800++.
2. Kaitlyn is already able to show her dislike when her mother/grandmother did something to her, by shaking her head (to say "no, no") vigorously. She was cute.
3. Kaitlyn is already able to smile. Finally. Last month when I visited her, Dewi still mentioned that she has NEVER seen Kaitlyn smile. Apparently she is now able to smile. Unfortunately, though her mother and her grandmother tried hard to amuse her, she didn't smile that day when I visited her.
4. Her next surgery will be in June 2012. Dewi said, that several of Kaitlyn's supporter urged her to stay in Singapore.
5. Kaitlyn will be having her birthday on November 19th. It will be great to be able to see her in healthy condition on her 1st birthday.
Thank you everyone for your support, without your support, Kaitlyn & her family wouldn't make this far. God bless your hearts.

Dewi decided to shave Kaitlyn's hair off. I'm not sure what's the reason. But I guess it's probably due to hygienic reason.

UPDATE on 17.08.2011
Dear beloved friends,
I visited Kaitlyn today & gave the SGD fund we have raised so far to Dewi (Kaitlyn's mum). I will leave the MYR fund for later on, since the fund raising in Malaysia is still on going.
There are few updates (with good news):
1. Kaitlyn doesn't have to use IV anymore. The IV was plugged out yesterday.
2. Kaitlyn might be discharged from hospital within a week from now (outpatient for 2 weeks before she can really go back home to Indonesia).
3. The hospital bill now left $38,000 from $70,000. Dewi is trying to bargain with KK hospital to give her discount since Kaitlyn has been hospitalized for more than 4 months.
4. After discussing with Dewi, I decide to give the fund to Dewi instead of paying the hospital bill. The reason is, Kaitlyn will be outpatient within a week, and Dewi needs to buy the machine (see the photo album). The fund (S$2,260) that already raised (up to 16th August) will be used to buy that machine (which actually costs $2,350).
With the first batch of the fund (S$2,260) given to Dewi, this means from today onward I will post the fund starts from the balance S$138, followed by "[TOTAL = $..]" at below to indicate the GRAND TOTAL fund that has been raised from Day 1 at bottom.
Note: I already invite Dewi to join this fb group. Hopefully she can join us soon. :)
Let's keep spreading the word. We still have few more weeks to help Kaitlyn so she can go home & be with her family again.
